My survey results on rural areas in Bulgaria presents that the issues of sustainable development of rural areas in Bulgaria can be determined by the following points: basis for establishment of agricultural management entities, employment opportunities outside of agriculture, development of infrastructure and basic public services and cultural activities by local residents. With these questions in mind, I would like to introduce the current state of sustainable development in Professor Ishirkovo, one of the settlements of Silistra County in Bulgaria. I would also like to discuss the degree of satisfaction of local residents about their living environment as well as measures that they are expecting in order to examine the sustainable development of Professor Ishirkovo.
