Transport accessibility is one of the most important factors of territorial development at regional and local levels. Good traffic accessibility and effective regional transport system on its territory are also important preconditions for the development of tourism in the region. The paper is to highlight the selected approaches to evaluation of transport accessibility of the region in relation to the development of tourism on the example of Slovak-Polish borderland (external and internal accessibility, accessibility of transport infrastructure, public transport accessibility vs. car accessibility, etc.).
