Project abstract
During last two decades Slovakia survived the development changing basic social, economic and political mechanisms. Negatively judged phenomenon is newly created vertical differentiation of society, connected with the environment, which can measurably reflect it. Ts genesis is based in structures of decision making in the scale of individual entities: individuals, households, formal and informal institutions. These make decisions about the importance of its activities in different questions in the unity with livelihood strategies, which are created and adopted. New types of entities emerge and fundamental changes appear in the structures and hierarchies of interactions between these and space, composed of individual places. Unevenly developing country is understood here less traditionally. A space consisting of places and a society consisting of entities, together connected by network of various interactions and different strategies, driving their decision-making substitute a simple, socially differentiated continuous space. Objective identification of strategies, their typology, hierarchical group of factors and resulting shapes of places, both being generated and potential, are considered to be the expected results of a kind of analysis unrealized in Slovakia yet. A potential further application is proposed in assesment of alternatives to interventions in the societal mechanisms by the political practice.
