Research:

Theoretical and methodological approaches in human geography with a special attention to urban geography and geography of public administration. Research is focused on methodological approaches analysing the territorial structure of local self-government in the countries of the European Union. Area of interest consists of selected settlement issues concerning the territorial structure of local self-government (size, structure, territorial changes and status of local self-government in the regional structure of the EU, its typification, administrative reform, etc.) using both quantitative methods and indicators applied at the local level of EU countries, and tools of spatial analysis (ArcView). Work with databases at the lowest territorial level of EU countries self-government. Research is also concentrated on gaining the topical spatial and statistical data at the local and regional level of the EU. The research also specializes in some selected problems of spatial scales of different themes (quality of life, the phenomena of spatial autocorrelation, geography of sport, waste management etc.).
